JAM has student reporters known as JBCs (JAM Bureau Chiefs) in 300 colleges across the country. The ideas and articles contributed by these form 80% of JAM’s content and keep it fresh and juicy. JAM is most loved for its tongue in cheek spoofs on movies and celebrities as well as its unique Campus news and Festivals coverage.

Besides that, JAM is popular for its Movie and Music Reviews, monthly Career booklet which goes indepth into conventional as well as offbeat careers, Street Fashion, Value For Money (how to buy, what to buy), Computer Fundas, Cool Hangouts and radical POV (Points of View).

Interactivity
JAM has several unique and exciting contests, opinion polls and interactive features, which generate enthusiastic response. We are the first and only youth magazine to accept SMS responses to contests and polls on the number 3636. JAM has also started a unique Do-It-Yourself Ringtones section where in readers can get free ringtones by using a given number sequence into the Composer function of their phone.

What sets JAM apart is the fact that we have a very strong grass-roots presence in the 15-24 age group (predominantly students). There is a JAM Bureau in over 300 campuses in Bombay, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Surat, Kanpur, Pilani, Chennai, (all prominent colleges including IITs, IIMs and RECs). These JAM reps create the content, the attitude. They provide the juice.

An All-India Community
JAM Magazine is available at newsstands in Bombay, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Calcutta, Bangalore, Baroda, Aurangabad and Indore and via subscription throughout India. We also have institutional sales schemes e.g. JAM subscriptions were given to the NIIT students at major centres in India.

JAM’s Internet site
www.jammag.com, which attracts over 100,000 visitors a month. It is currently registering over 15,00,000 page views every month. The website has dozens of interactive features and services, catering to the thriving JAM community. JAM in print and on the internet is AN INTERACTIVE CHANNEL today to reach the 15-22 year collegians. The community has common bonds - the same aspirations, desires, anxieties and concerns.

JAM Summer Internships
As a unique pioneering effort JAM has engaged corporates to offer summer placements to students in their organisations. What makes these internships unique is that the students' talent and skill are nurtured in creative and analytical fields like journalism, web-publishing, financial analysis, market research, business development.

Companies recruiting thru the Summer Internships Program include Levis, Rediff.com, Mediaturf, Sony Music, Sodexho, Mphasis numerous among others. The Internships started in 1996 and benefited over 100 students every year.

JAM has also pioneered a Copy Trainee Program wherein aspiring copywriters get a chance to work at leading agencies such as Contract, Ambience, Everest, RMG David.

College Festival Expertise
Colfest Promotions, a branch of JAM undertakes to make youth brands integral to festivals. We understand college festivals as we have been visiting over 60 different colleges for the fests all over India.

JAM is invited as the youth media sponsor being the foremost youth publication that links students from fests all over India. We give them coverage in the magazine and also help them get participation from across the country.

For clients, Colfest Promotions does everything from qualitative evaluation of festivals based on the set objectives and budget, negtiations with the college festival committees, create special games and events which highlight the brand's core property.

JAM was born with an original idea, a passion and commitment of it’s founders to provide an interactive platform for the new generation. JAM VENTURE PUBLISHING P. LTD, owns JAM Magazine, www.jammag.com, and COLFEST PROMOTIONS the event management arm. It employs 25 people and is an independent venture.
