The madness, the grandeur, the CARNIVAL! It's all happening again this year only on at a larger and better scale. 'Kshitij' Mithibai college's annual festival is set to redefine the standard of college fests in Mumbai. They have “The Carnival” as their theme which is highly contrasting last year's grim mood due to the 26/11 attacks.
It brings life to the events which by themselves are outstanding. The fervor of the large workforce will be seen in full swing in the theme of this year. While the name says it all, the enthusiastic students are striving to make this a festival one to behold. Events like 'Masquerading Style' where participants make their own masks on a given theme and 'Over the edge' which challenges participants to express themselves in colour with a difference are happening this year. Rediscover linguistic skills with 'Lost in Translation' where as the name suggests the creativity as well as vocabulary of the participants is challenged like never before.
'Braille box' offers a rare opportunity to share the experiences of blind people as competitors struggle to solve puzzles and quizzes in Braille. The most striking events any college fest can have are probably happening for the first time at Kshitij this year. 'Beat Boxing' seems promising while 'Belly dancing' is sure to be a hit amongst the young belles of the city students.
The excitement it rising and so is the workload. The students of Mithibai College are really working hard to pull in the crowds and have already sent out the first round of invitations to Mumbai colleges. So what are you waiting for?? Don't forget to mark your calendar for the most extravagant party in town, Kshitij 2009. The party is set the music rings loud as Kshitij'09...The Carnival!! takes center stage from 15th-19th December 2009.
