Ferrari is going to be the team to beat this season. As last year’s (de facto) champions, they’ve got much to live up to. Especially with a top class driver line up – Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa. Raikkonen will be looking to retain his driver’s championship crown for a consecutive year, though he will face stiff competition from Massa as the Brazilian has upped his game over the last year.
The only team looking likely to spoil Ferrari’s party is McLaren. After last year’s major debacle, the Woking based team will be looking to step up and take the fight away from Ferrari. However, we do feel that the effects of last season haven’t yet been dismissed, and therefore, McLaren are going to have to settle for second place. Lewis Hamilton though will split the two Ferrari drivers and will look good on circuits like Hungary and Monaco. Heikki Kovalainen will show strong performances, but will take a little time getting used to the new team
