Rumors were making rounds in the city about college festivals being postponed.

The rumor was confirmed by the students in charge of SIES college festival called Fantasies

The students received a mail from the Mumbai police saying that all festivals in the month of December are being scrapped due to the terror issues. It was further quoted in the mail that colleges are the next target, especially colleges in the Dahisar and Dharavi area.

The college festival which was originally meant to happen on the 18th and 19th of this month, might get postponed to the 21st or it might happen only in January.

Our source also told us that leaving out IIT Bombay’s Festival, Mood I, it is a question mark whether other college festivals will happen or not.

The teaching staff of SIES are quite concerned over this issue and don’t want to take any risks. The final word of when Fantasies will happen, will be confirmed to the students only by Saturday ie 6th December 2008

We were not able to contact the Principal of SIES college yet, to confirm whether this rumor is true or false.
