Walt Disney's Meet The Robinsons is a sci-fi animated comedy flick that shuttles between 2007 and 2037.
It's the story of Lewis, a 12-yead old orphan with some great ideas, though most of his inventions turn out to be a disaster. After being rejected at his 124th adoption interview, Lewis decides to use the Memory Scanner (his own invention), to trace his birth mother.
However, his invention is sabotaged by The Bowler Hat Guy, a villian from the future, at the school science fair. It is then that Lewis meets Wilbur Robinson, a boy from 2037. The two jet off together to the future, and thus begins the biggest adventure of Lewis's life.
He comes across genetically enhanced frogs that can sing and dance, dogs that wear spectacles and of course, the eccentric Robinson family. Grandpa Bud Robinson is always in search of his teeth, Grandma Lucille isn't your typical cookie-baking granny and Uncle Art is a pizza delivery guy disguised as a super hero. Wilbur's father, Cornelius Robinson, is the founder of the future and mother Franny Robinson is a vibrant lady who pioneered the genetic enhancement technique that enabled frogs to sing and dance. Lewis recieves love and affection from the family, and unites with Wilbur to bring down the evil Bowler Hat Guy. Does Lewis find the family he's looking for? You'll have to watch the movie to find out.
The characters are very well animated, and the story is kinda reminiscent of The Jetsons. While it may not make you laugh...
out loud, the movie is sure to make you smile throughout.
