Soft rock is what this album is all about. Anurag Basu and music composer Pritam have shown their mettle yet again after Gangster. The use of electronic guitars is very prominent throughout the album.
In Dino, sung by Soham, is the best song in the entire album. The six and a half minute number begins with strumming guitars that make you want to hear more. KK's voice takes you to a different world with O Meri Jaan which is about romance, love and happiness, and Alvida - a goodbye song. Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si is sung by Suhail, a new singer, who isn't disappointing, but is overshadowed by Adnan Sami (Adnan is just too good with romantic songs). Kar Salaam, by Pritam, Suhail & Soham, is a mediocre song.
People who have no patience for slow songs can enjoy the remix versions of In Dino, Baatein Ankahee Si and Rishtey which are equally good. This album is surely an advantage for the movie. Whether the movie itself does well or not, remains to be seen.
