Strange Encounters:
Goa attracts weirdos from all over (excluding the JAM team of course..hehe).
One of them was Norman, a glib motormouth from the U.K, who wore his tattoos
and tragedies with pride, displaying the latter to anyone who was in the
vicinity. Going on and on and on (Energizer bunny anyone?), he told us his
entire life story in about 5 minutes. The catch: it seemed like one of those
practiced tales, designed to garner sympathy. Whatever the truth, the
drugged soul was an interesting 45-minute filler. |

Inox:
Let’s say, you’re going insane missing the multiplex from your big city and
you’ve got to get a dose of movies. Just land at Inox in Panjim and calm
down.
Also, near this area are floating restaurants. Ideal for a good wine and
dinner night. Don't make it a habit, but visit Caravela Casino and try your
luck. |

Last Minute:
Head out to Panjim a couple of hours before your bus is due to leave. ‘Coz
it's worth strolling around there on foot. Some of the old architecture is
amazing, and the Church of Mary Immaculate Conception is especially
beautiful.
Pick
up cashews and port wine, with any left over money. Hop onto the bus and
flop off to sleep, if you can. Else drift in and out, reliving the sights,
sounds, smells and sunshine of Goa. Until your next trip! |
