Hair Courses Hair & Beauty Courses Did You Know?
You sit in a parlour and observe. A girl enters, “I want a haircut like Jennifer Aniston in friends.” A guy enters, “give me john’s hairstyle man!” (I wanna look like a cool dude!)
This is what media does to you. You want to look like your favourite star or be all-presentable to the world, and the beauty industry helps you with it. It helps one enhance one’s natural beauty or even through artificial methods sometimes, thanks to the establishment of cosmetic surgery. The beauty and hair industry is growing rapidly.
I mean, look at your local beautician yaar! Her phone rings like almost 24 hours a day, with people looking for waxing and facial appointments! Today, even the lower middle class women are not hesitating to invest a huge amount in training themselves for a beautician’s job, coz in 6mnths or year of learning the stuff, you get you money back in no time.

Now how do u decide that this is the career for you?

20 year old Neha Gadhwalla who is currently training under stylist Sapna Bhavnani says, “I was always interested in hairstyling. My mom and friends were my dummies all the time. Be it parties or social gatherings or even hanging out during the day, they always came to me for help and I did them up. And I realized I really enjoy this stuff. I then decided I should probably do it professionally too. That’s when I decided to take professional training. I plan to work at the salon for a while, and after gaining considerable experience and making a name for myself, I hope to put up my own salon.” She smiles.

A couple of years ago, hairstyling wasn’t really a lucrative option, and so, even though you liked it, you really thought twice about pursuing it as a career. Kamai shamai nahi hai yaar. 27 year old Debbie Dias, who’s another hairstyling apprentice, pursued another profession before taking this up. She says, “ This is something I always wanted to do. But the time wasn’t right when I jus graduated from college. But now when I look at it, it’s a fast growing industry, and pursuing it at this point in time is the best option for me. And since this is like the course I always wanted to do, I an having a blast! Trust me!’

Nandini Patil says, “ whenever I went to the parlour with mamma, I was very intrigued by everything that happened there, and I liked it. I was always very fond of makeup, its like painting for me. (Quite literally ya!). I dint really wanna study further after my 12th, so I started right away. Got myself enrolled into a training institute and now I work on my own. The institute was pretty good, gave equal practical and theoretical training. Besides, they even made sure, that they prepare all their students well before setting them out into the market.” She adds,
“I go on orders to people’s homes and beautify them! I am earning pretty decent now, though initially it was a little tough, coz I had to buy my own products. So there was a bit of investment, but now I am all set and earning upto 25,000 a month. I take care of my own expenses without having to ask my parents.”

If you echo any of these sentiments above, then this is the right career for you.

For guys who’re thinking,
How the hell is a hairstylisht any different from a hajaam!!?? Well, here’s you answer.
U go to a hajaam and ask for a haircut, he picks up the scissor and khach khach , chops off your hair with his ustra!
Now you go to hairstylist, and tell him, “dude , I need a cut”, he analyses you and your hair and with a smile , asks you, “ what exactly are you looking for sir?”, “ do you want me to style it? Or just a basic cut?” wanna keep it long or short? Should it be a snazzy one or sober? You give your answers, and you get the cut you want, and leave the parlour feeling all nice, ready to show it off to the world.
Whhhoof!! This is the goddamn difference!! Get it??
