Phirangs no more! We are ruling ourselves and to be honest making a quite a mess of it sometimes… Maybe a lot of times. Yet we continue to stay here, in our 'motherland'. But is it patriotism & true love for our country or is it a mask behind which we wait for that visa which should've arrived by now? JAM decided to check out junta’s patriotism quotient; how many of us truly love our country, how many live in indifference & how many can't wait to get out!

COMMENTS:
I would like to go abroad because…
* Does it really matter? Planet earth is a shit hole! People just follow their pipe dreams! (Run… Martian on Earth!)

If in a crisis situation your country needs you, you would…
* I would say, 'There are a lot of unemployed people. Take them.' (Yikes!)

Why would or wouldn't you join the Armed Forces?
* I would like to but I can't because of myopia. (Tsk… Tsk!)
* I'm a woman. Isn't that enough? Everyone knows that women have less security and are looked down on! (Huh! What did we ask?)

Do you stand when the national anthem is played in theatres?
* Always. Even at home, say we are eating & can't stand as it's already started we try to be steady in one place (Statue!)
* Of course & I make others stand too! Would kill them if they didn't! (So much for Gandhigiri!)

JAM Comments
Some passionate, some nonsensical, some sensible, were the comments of our young patriots. But what do we at JAM feel about Patriotism? It is about making a difference. This difference can be as small as throwing kachra in a bin. It could mean picking up a broom and cleaning up when required!

Small acts of civic sense and civility will go a long way in making the India of our dreams a reality. Saath saath apne apne kaam mein bhi lagey raho. Jai Hind .
