| Two Much ... The two teams that have taken the game to new heights | ||
|
Chicago Bulls: I know you love your Chicago Bulls caps guys but brace yourself - Bulls are soon gonna be history. MJ was the only reason why that goofey Bull became so popular. He made it see red every time they marched on to the court. After his exit the Bulls have degenerated into a horrible mess. Even though they have a star center in Elton Brand they may not win even one back to back game this season (already they are last in the central zone.) Slam Jam: The days in the early 90s when they reigned supreme with MJ, Batman Scottie Piper and Dennis Rodman are over. They’ve intentionally discarded older (more skilled) players for the roadside lukkhas. Talk about Bullshit! |
Los Angeles Lakers: The LAL. The most famous acronym in the sports world today. They are to basketball what the Yankees are to baseball. From the time of the legendary George Mikan led Minneapolis Lakers of the 40s and the 50s to the show time era of Magic J of the Los Angeles Lakers in the 80s they have been consistent. The Lakers had a host of hall of famers, a string of championship wins, the quickest the youngest and the most versatile players. From the Magic to the Shaq attack, from Kareem Jabbar to Bryant, these guys are the champs. Slam Jam: Just about everything they touch turns gold. |

It
is always hair today and gone tomorrow at the NBA and I mean it—considering
the frequency of changes in hairstyle. The fads have changed—from the bald
look to the short shaved to the medium length wavy to the bleach blond -
we’ve seen it all Bald Head: The classical hairdo. MJ made it that
(and guess why-to combat his receding hairline he simply shaved his head
off). His shiny scalp reflected light and it became a fad. Since then people
have been constantly shaving...even waxing to keep a bald head...talk of
madness (Leander Paes is the latest to fall into
the MJ trap.) Eg: Sixer’s Center Matt Geiger Corn cut: The
original nigger cut—with those braided loops that are wrapped close to the
head in rows. Eg: 76er’s Allen Iverson, Warrior’s Larry Huges Short
Fade: Another classic. It tapers down until there is no hair on the
head-on the sides and on the lower back of the head.It is simple but stylish.
Eg: Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobey The Afro: Back to basics.
This one is back in style. A retro look which allows alteration between
a no. of other styles due to its length. Eg: Clippers’ Keith Cross
Dyed Hair: The ‘yo funky’ hairstyle. It’s been briefly ‘in’ this
season Eg: Dennis Rodman has dyed his hair in every colour possible...and
then some more! Rodman has no inhibitions about changing his hairstyle every
other month...now that takes guts of steel. |
